When I view this Niemers Hoops productioin, I reflect on a young boy who once had a burning desire to learn how to play basketball. He would have gone into the gym holding a basketball and a book that he signed out from the town library. This was during the 1950's and that young boy was me. To this day I remember what was on those pages: descriptions of the 2 hand set shot, the running one hander, the hook shot, and the underhand free throw. The game of course has evolved beyond that level. Now there is a new way for boys and girls to meet the challenges that they face the same way I did.

Brian Nieminen was my first basketball coach when I started playing in grade four. His passion and dedication to the game is evident through his coaching and leadership.
